The Official Pokémon Channel treats us to another dose of the upcoming remakes of Pokémon Sapphire and Ruby. The 2.0 versions are dubbed Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby and will be released November 21st in Japan, North America, and Australia. November 28th will be Europe’s release date. The promotional clip introduces new Mega Evolutions of Sharpedo, Camerupt, and Gallade. In addition to the Mega Evolutions, Rayquaza the Legendary Pokémon from Emerald, will be included in both Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. You can find all of the released mega evolutions below.
There will also be a demo of the game prior to release, announced by The Pokémon Company. The demos will support Pokémon Bank and Pokémon Global Link.
The handheld games are being adapted for 3D, although most of the gameplay will be set in 2d but will have 3D aspects. Battling, poké attacks, and various other occasions will appear in 3D and are significantly re-hauled. The Legendary Pokémon will be able to undergo Primal Reversion, changing their look and apparently giving them a new special attack. Likely the ability to change the weather. Kyogre has the ability to control the rain while Groudon has the ability to control the intensity of sunlight. (Oh yeah! Come on Groudon lets go to the beach and tan, bring on the heat! No? okay fine.)
Which is your favorite evolution so far?
