Today, Square Enix announced that a demo for Bravely Second will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS eShop on December 10th. With Bravely Second’s release date note far away (said to be coming this Winter), it’s not too surprising to hear about the demo, however it’s still exciting. If you haven’t played Bravely Default, you should change that. It’s a fantastic game that goes back to traditional JRPG roots, and motivated Square Enix to refocus on traditional JRPGs, like it did in the past.

Bravely Second will be focused on a new party, but feature characters from Bravely Default (Tiz and Agnes have been mentioned), allowing the game to be enjoyed by veterans as well as new fans. Though I’d recommend playing Bravely Default first, obviously. The game will feature similar mechanics to the first, with the Brave/Default system making a return. How could it not? Considering Bravely Default‘s international success, it’s only a matter of time until we start hearing about Bravely Second’‘s coming overseas.
