If you’re looking for the next big thing, our money is on the anime adaptation of Ninja Slayer called Ninja Slayer From Animation. Now they’ve released the first trailer for the series, and man does it look beautiful. The trailer features the anime’s theme song called Back in Black by Boom Boom Satellites, and I’m already a fan.

Check out the music on this thing! It reminds me of the mid to late 90s, and that is not a bad thing. It looks like the series will make use of some beautiful vibrant colors, and I couldn’t possibly be more excited.

The story, according to King Records who is responsible for the above clip:

Kenji Fujikido is a salaryman whose wife and child were killed in a ninja turf war. In a brush with his own death, Fujikido is possessed by an enigmatic ninja soul known as Naraku Ninja. Fujikido cheats death and becomes “Ninja Slayer” -a Grim Reaper destined to kill evil ninja, committed to a personal war of vengeance. Set in the dystopian underworld of Neo-Saitama, Ninja Slayer takes on Soukai Syndicate ninja in mortal combat.

The series which hits in 2015 will be directed by Akira Amemiya with Studio Trigger doing the animation. I’ve only got one thing to say and that is what the hell is wrong with the aspect ratio on this clip? It’s 2014 guys, come on!
