Sakura Soft, a Japanese mobile app developer, announced at a Noragami event held on August 8th that it is developing a smartphone game titled Noragami ~Kami to Enishi~ (Noragami ~Gods and Fate~). In addition to this news, they also launched a teaser site for the upcoming game along with a key visual.

It will be a free-to-play “card battle RPG,” but it is confirmed that users will be able to buy in-game items with real money. The game is planned to launch in Fall of 2016 and it will be the first smartphone game created for this franchise.

Adachitoka, the creators of the series, launched the manga in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine in 2010. Following the manga’s success, it was adapted into a 12-episode anime in January of 2014. A second season, titled Noragami Aragoto, was announced and will premiere in October.

Funimation simulcasted the series last year and the site describes the story as follows:

Yato may just be a minor god now, but he’s determined to make it big and he’s got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don’t seem to be going his way. He doesn’t have a single shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he’s got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever. [source]
