Shueisha’s official website for Bessatsu Margaret magazine has confirmed that Ayuko Hatta’s Shōjo comedy romance series, Wolf Girl and Black Prince, would be coming to its’ conclusion in the magazine’s June issue. The final chapter of the series will ship in about a month’s time as part of the June issue on May 13. This comes between the 15th compiled volume’s release on April 25 and the 16th and final compiled volume on May 25 (that’s a pretty quick turnaround).
Wolf Girl and Black Prince began serialization in 2011 and has been running strong since. An anime adaptation to the series was confirmed in the May 2014 issue of Bessatsu Margaret magazine. The series was part of the Fall 2014 anime season and ran for twelve episodes with an OVA to follow. Crunchyroll simulcast the episodes of the series as they aired as part of its Fall 2014 line up. Crunchyroll and Hulu currently both have the anime available to stream. For those unfamiliar and interested in learning more, Crunchyroll describes the series:
While the proud Erika boasts to her friends about being lovey-dovey with her boyfriend, she has never really had one for 16 years. Feeling the limits of lying, she took a picture of a cool guy she found in town and showed it to her friends as her boyfriend. But the person in the picture happens to be Sata Kyouya who is in the same grade in their school. While she was able to explain the situation and convince him to act like his boyfriend, he was not the nice looking boy she thought he would be: he was a super sadistic schemer! Thus begins Erika’s life blackmailed into being Sata’s dog.
