Well I can honestly say that it has been an incredibly long time since I have done a music in anime piece. But here we go! Below are a few moments in anime where the music has really sparked/invoked some great emotions.

FLCL

At this point, the FLCL it is pretty much unanimously considered one of the best (if not the best) soundtracks across the history of anime. The original soundtrack has multitudes of great tracks by the Pillows, but the one that really captured my attention was “Beautiful Morning With You.” This track was used as a catalyst into really big events that left a huge imprint, thus leaving all of us loving FLCL on the whole.

Kiznaiver

The opening to Studio Trigger’s latest series, Kiznaiver is certainly one that is memorable. This kaleidoscopic adventure in color and EDM gets you hyped like none other for the upcoming episode. That being said though, the internet isn’t necessarily wrong in saying that it sounds like a-ha’s “Take on Me” track. In fact it is hard to sift through all the fake troll OP videos currently on YouTube to find the genuine ones. Which is why we have found a post from Tumblr instead.  But the dream-inducing synth matches up beautifully with the absurd nature of the show itself.

Log Horizon

While we could go on and on about several different openings. The opening for the show Log Horizon was, by far, the most memorable opening in recent memory. Not only did they keep the same track for each season, they picked one that sounds bad ass and gets you hyped for every moment in the video game world. Chanting “Database Database” was my queue to grab some snacks and settle down on the couch for a good time.

Dimension W

Although the show wasn’t nearly up to the caliber that some of us had set for it, the opening hyped us like non other. And for the first time in a while, it inspired a few of us to dance just like Kyouma Mabuchi himself.

I mean, with a dance like that, how could you not want to replicate it?

K: Return of Kings

Alright so we couldn’t find the longer version on YouTube, but the track that accompanies the Green King when he breaks in and fights Anna for the first time is absolute fire. Nothing quite personifies and blends well with the Green King’s crazy power quite like the heavy hitting house track.
