The air date for the second season of KonoSuba has been confirmed! According to a post made last Friday on the official website for Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! (or KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!!), the second season of KonoSuba has been confirmed to be part of the Winter 2017 season and therefore airing next January. Beyond the fact that the cast is returning, we don’t have many other details at the moment so stay tuned!


The first season of KonoSuba aired earlier this year as part of the Winter 2016 season. The series had a 10 episode run and Crunchyroll simulcast the series as it aired. Recently, an OVA for the series was released as a bonus on the first season’s Blu-ray. At the time of writing, The series is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll to premium and free members.

After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato’s disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Now Kazuma only wants to live in peace, but Aqua wants to solve many of this world’s problems, and the demon king will only turn a blind eye for so long…
