20 Questions: The Erica Mendez Edition

While in attendance at Colorado Anime Fest 2017, we were graced by the talent of Erica Mendez. So graceful was she that we were allowed not only the opportunity to interview her, but film said interview. Observe with your very eyes said interview! On a serious note, Erica Mendez was an absolute pleasure to work with. Very professional but extremely kind at the same time. It truly was a privilege to get the opportunity to sit down with her and chat the way we did. So I’d like to say thank you to the organizers at Colorado Anime Fest, Erica, and to those of you who took the time to watch...

Chattin’ with Chris Patton

While attending the 2016 Nan Desu Kan in Denver, CO we met up with a favorite voice actor of ours, Chris Patton. Sorry for the potato quality everyone, we forgot to bring our tripod with us and the camera had a difficult time focusing. Next time we will be sure that the quality is higher. Is there anyone you think we should interview? Send us a message or leave us a comment! We don’t mind asking the offhanded questions.

2 vs 2 with Blake Shepard and Samantha Inoue-Harte [Video]

After the prior interview with Samantha Inoue-Harte was interrupted, we picked things back up with her and Blake Shepard. So, to start things out while we were at Anime Southwest, we dove back in to asking about everything that goes into being a voice actor. Check out the video interview we did below! Blake Shepard has been involved with voice acting for quite a long time and has a long list of characters from shows that we have come to adore. For example, he has been a part of Angel Beats!, Elfen Lied, DRAMAtical Murder, and Cross Ange (just to name a few). For more interviews and other videos, be sure to subscribe to our...

Life in Animation and Working in Entertainment with Samantha Inoue-Harte

While attending a new Con in Colorado (Anime Southwest) we had the opportunity to sit down and have an interview with Samantha Inoue-Harte. She has been a voice actress in works such as Final Fantasy: Unlimited, Sakura Wars, Trinity Blood, and Fairy Tail. Samantha is not only an accomplished voice actress, but also an animator. Over the course of her career we got a little insight into everything that goes behind animation (even the less than pleasant aspects). Check out the interview in the video below: Due to some unforeseen circumstances the interview was cut short. However, we will be releasing the second part as well as it including Blake Shepard hopefully soon. Subscribe...

A Series of Unfortunately Random Questions with Arryn Zech

While at attendance at Denver’s annual Starfest, we had a quick moment to sit down and chat with the lovely Arryn Zech. Arryn is the voice behind popular characters such as Blake Belladonna in RWBY and Dr. Emily Grey in Red vs. Blue. She is currently residing in Los Angeles but is still heavily involved with RWBY. Now, we only had a mere five minutes to sit down with Arryn so we were not able to get every question we had hoped for in. Either way, check out our interview with her below: It was particularly fun getting to know Arryn Zech, and we were glad we were able to ask everything like prying questions...

A Sit Down Interview with Chris Patton

While at Colorado Anime Fest, we had an opportunity to sit down with Chris Patton and have a little chat. Chris Patton is the voice actor behind famous works such as: Greed in Fullmetal Alchemist, Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic!, Rentaro Satomi from Black Bullet, Run from Akame ga Kill!, and Hajime Aoyama from Ghost Stories. So, naturally we had to ask him a few questions with regards to what goes on behind the scenes during a voice actor recording session. Check out the video below for the interview: What did you think of the interview? Let us know in the comments below! Think we should ask other questions next time? Again, let us know and we...

An Interview with Matt Mercer

While hanging out at Colorado Anime Fest we met up with Matt Mercer to discuss the finer things in life like: eating dessert only at Casa Bonita, shameless plugs, and boning characters in Attack on Titan. For those who do not know, Matt Mercer is a voice actor portraying favorite characters such as Captain Levi in Attack on Titan, Kiritsugu Emiya in Fate/Zero, and Trafalgar Law in One Piece. Besides his charming personality we elected to dive a bit deeper into the life of being a voice actor in the video below: Image source

The Mesmerizing Art of Andrew Ferez

Recently, BentoByte had the opportunity to interview Andrew Ferez, a fantasy, surrealist illustrator from Moscow, whose work has captivated imaginations around the world. Here’s what he had to tell us — and, of course, it’s necessary to share some of his lovely artwork here too. 1. Which do you enjoy more: working as an art director or creating pieces for various projects? Of course I enjoy being an artist more. Nevertheless the fatigue tends to build up, even for this beautiful job, so changing it up from time to time is also very nice. 2. Do you have any hobbies or passions, unrelated to visual arts? Some time ago, I was...

We were given the opportunity to have a private interview with Lily Rutledge-Ellison (known by her cosplay page name of Lilatron Cosplay) about her time on King of the Nerds, how she started in the world of cosplay, advice on being a competitive or casual cosplayer, and her plans for the future. Animeland Wasabi 2015: Thoughts & Impressions

It was quite the journey attending this year’s Animeland Wasabi 2015 powered by Sukoshi Con. Matt and I weren’t exactly sure what entirely to expect throughout the duration of the 3 day event. We did our best to attend as many panels as possible and meet all the fantastic people within Denver’s community attending the con. We had a lot of fun, from devising clever ways to move quickly through the crowds to purchasing merchandise. And to top if all off we hung out and had great chats with all the guests in attendance which included: Jessica Merizan, Kyle Hebert, Lucien Dodge, Stuart Zagnit, Warumono, Umbra Cosplay, Jan Scott-Frazier, and Steve Warky Nunez. For those of you not from Denver,...

Interview with Stuart Zagnit and Lucien Dodge

While over at Animeland Wasabi 2015 we had the opportunity to have a sit down chat with Stuart Zagnit and Lucien Dodge. Both being very talented and famous voice actors responsible for some of our favorite characters over the past years of anime. Stuart Zagnit, most well known for his portrayal of Professor Oak in Pokemon has quite an impressive resume. His roles have included characters in The Shaman King, Winx Club, and Slayers. He has also been involved in Broadway performances, off-Broadway performances, national tours, roles in television, film, and commercials.
