World Trigger Author Takes Indefinite Hiatus

Bad news for fans of World Trigger. There were bad signs last week when fans found that the series was missing from last week’s issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and apparently the issue from last week has not yet been resolved. It seems that series creator Daisuke Ashihara has been rendered unable to work due to issues with his personal health. Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Manga Coming Stateside

According to Viz Media, they will be releasing another addition to the Gundam universe called Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt. Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt is a newer manga series that is created by Yasuo Ohtagaki. The series originally debuted in 2012 and is still currently running¹. As of today, the story has received an original net animation as well as a movie that debuted in June of this year. Seven Seas Licenses Concrete Revolutio

Now that two seasons of Concrete Revolutio have aired it was merely a matter of time before the manga was brought to North America. Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing Concrete Revolutio: The Complete Saga edition, which is an omnibus all in one edition (that includes two volumes).  It is expected to release on June 27th, 2017 for $19.99 USA / $22.99 CAN. Seven Seas Licenses Otome Mania!! Manga

As the manga publisher Seven Seas Entertainment hits its 12 year anniversary, they have announced that they have acquired Otome Mania!! for licensing. What does this mean exactly? Well, it means that the Otome Mania!! series will be available in print for the very first time in North America. It may not be my thing, but if Otome style stories are your thing then get ready to expect the first volume to hit the shelves on June 20th, 2017 (still a ways away). Seven Seas Releases orange eBooks

Today, Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that they are going to offer the hit series orange in a new digital edition. This means that all five of the orange volumes will be available for purchase across several platforms. The complete five volume printed set is currently available on BookWalker Global (and through several other outlets). The eBooks themselves, will see a release on Amazon’s Kindle and Comixology on October 19th, will all of the volumes becoming available by November 16th. Nisekoi Manga Finally Coming to A Climax

Almost 4 years and 229 chapters later, it seems that Nisekoi will finally be coming to an end. Yes you read that right, Nisekoi is Finally! coming to an end. In this year’s 35th issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, it will be announced that Naoshi Komi’s romantic comedy manga Nisekoi will be having its “climax” chapter in the 36th issue of the magazine. Seven Seas Licenses Kase-san and…

Someone over at Seven Seas Entertainment appears to be on quite the yuri manga binge as of late. With their latest announcement, they have acquired the Kase-san and… series. The series is still currently ongoing but has seven volumes currently in circulation. Each of the volumes can be read in chronological order or can be read on an individual basis. Seven Seas Licenses Secret of the Princess

Today, the publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced their acquisition of the manga tale, Secret of the Princess. This tale of budding high school romance was written and illustrated by Milk Morinaga. Milk Morinaga is also known for her other yuri style works such as Girl Friends. Secret of the Princess started originally in 2015 and is currently published in Hirari Comics. Unlike a lot of other manga works, this story is only one volume long. Wolf Girl and Black Prince is Coming to an End

Shueisha’s official website for Bessatsu Margaret magazine has confirmed that Ayuko Hatta’s Shōjo comedy romance series, Wolf Girl and Black Prince, would be coming to its’ conclusion in the magazine’s June issue. The final chapter of the series will ship in about a month’s time as part of the June issue on May 13. This comes between the 15th compiled volume’s release on April 25 and the 16th and final compiled volume on May 25 (that’s a pretty quick turnaround).   Wolf Girl and Black Prince began serialization in 2011 and has been running strong since. Today, Seven Seas has announced that they have acquired the license to the manga series RE:MONSTER. The series is written by Kanekiru Kogitsune and illustrated by Kobayakawa Haruyoshi is based off of a visual novel of the same name. The manga is expected to hit the US market on November 8th, 2016 for $12.99 USD and $13.99 CAN. Viz to Release Shuriken and Pleats

Viz Media has announced that it will be releasing Matsuri Hino’s newest manga series, Shuriken and Pleats, overseas. Matsuri Hino has published numerous series in the past such as Captive Hearts and Merupuri, both published by Viz. However, the author is best known for her widely popular fantasy romance shojo series Vampire Knight. The launch will begin (obviously) with Volume 1 of Shuriken and Pleats being available for purchase on March 1st at a price of $9.99 USD and rated T+ for Teens. Seven Seas Licenses Bloom Into You

Seven Seas Entertainment decided to celebrate Valentine’s day with an announcement of their latest manga acquisition, Yuri Series Bloom Into You. Shokugeki no Soma Manga to be Accompanied by OAD

According to Amazon Japan, the newest volume of the Shokugeki no Soma manga will be accompanied with an anime DVD. This will be the 19th volume in the Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma series and will be released on the 4th of July. As of right now, there has been no indication as to what episode of the anime will be on the DVD. This latest release will run around ¥ 3,240 (which is around $28.30 give or take). Erased Manga to End in March

For people worried that Erased (also known as Boku Dake ga Inai Machi) was going to end on a cliffhanger, good news, the manga is confirmed ending right around the same time as the anime. The news came from the latest release of Kadokawa’s Young Ace that came out on the 4th.  According to the magazine, the final chapter of the manga will be released on March 4th, 2014. Today, Seven Seas Entertainment announced that they have acquired the license for the manga guidebook: Land of the Rising Dead: A Tokyo School Girl’s Guide to Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. This large collection hardcover book has everything from illustrated pages to manga tips about how to manage the undead. The series is incredibly entertaining and contains several chapters on varying ways to navigate Tokyo with four different heroines.
