Seven Seas Licenses Monster Girl Encyclopedia

Today, Seven Seas Entertainment announced (shown in tweet below) the acquisition of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia license. The release of the encyclopedia is expected on September 20, 2016 and will cost around $24.99 USA and $28.99 CAN. Keep in mind though, as the picture below shows, this book is limited to individuals over the age of 18 for mature audiences only. The book is going to be a hardcover and completely uncensored. Seven Seas Entertainment is, once again, on a roll with license acquisitions. This time, it is the humorous school girl manga Please Tell Me! Galko-chan. According to Seven Seas, this is the first fully color manga they have published. The first volume is set to be released on November 22nd, 2016 for $14.99 USD and $16.99 CAN. Magia the Ninth Manga Licensed by Seven Seas

Today, Seven Seas Entertainment announced that they have acquired the license for the manga series Magia the Ninth. The fantasy series written by Ichiya Sazanami is expected to be released on November 22, 2016. Each volume will cost $12.99 USD and $14.99 CAN. This will be the first time the musical series will be published within North America. Seven Seas Entertainment announced today that they have acquired the license for The Seven Princes of the Thousand Year Labyrinth (what a mouthful) manga series. Love in Hell: Death Life Licensed by Seven Seas

Today Seven Seas announced that they have acquired the licensing for yet another manga series, Love in Hell: Death Life. The first volume from Seven Seas is expected to be released on July 19, 2016. Fairy Tail Blue Mistral Spinoff Manga Concludes

Shoujo manga series Fairy Tail Blue Mistral has come to its’ conclusion as of the January issue of Kodansha’ Nakayoshi magazine this Tuesday. Fairy Tail Blue Mistral, a spin off manga of the Fairy Tail series, was launched in August of 2014 and ran for a total of four volumes. The series was produced by Rui Watanabe with series creator Hiro Mashima overseeing the project. Kodansha has published the previous volumes of Fairy Tail Blue Mistral and will published the fourth volume as well as a final compiled book volume of the series on January 15 2016 in Japan. Kodansha USA has the first volume available for purchase and is set to release the second volume of the series...


Countdown to News about Naruto Next Generation

In case you’ve been keeping yourself in a media blackout to avoid spoiling the end of Naruto, I’ll leave a spoiler warning here. Nothing major but just in case you want to know nothing. Today, the official website for Weekly Shonen Jump magazine launched a teaser website with a countdown and a heading that reads “Next Generation”. While we don’t know exactly what this countdown is leading to yet we know that it’s definitely related to some sort of continuation to the Naruto series. Lord Marksman and Vanadis Licensed by Seven Seas

In a press release by Seven Seas Entertainment, came the announcement that they have acquired the license for the series Lord Marksman and Vanadis. The hit fantasy series has yet to be published in the United States but does currently have an anime adaptation. Kingdom Hearts Manga Series is Over

It was announced on Friday that the Kingdom Hearts manga series has ended according to the twitter account of the illustrator, Shiro Amano (tweet shown below). The manga began in Shonen Gangan in 2006 but was placed on hiatus by Aman for a separate project. Kingdom Hearts then resumed in 2012. The series was released by Tokyopop up until the publisher closed its North American publishing division in 2011. Yen Press then picked up all four manga adaptations in 2013 and has licensed the series ever since¹. Imouto sae Ireba Ii. Manga Adaptation Announced

In the upcoming issue of Sunday GX came the announcement that the light novel series Imouto sae Ireba Ii. will be receiving a manga adaptation. The next edition of Sunday GX, that contains this news,  is expected to be released on December 19th. The light novel series is written by Hirasaka and illustrated by Kantoku¹. Yo-Kai Watch Manga Launches Today

Today, VIZ media announced in a press release that they are going to be releasing the first two manga volumes from the series Yo-Kai Watch. Yo-Kai- Watch originated as a supernatural adventure RPG that came out on the Nintendo 3DS. The game itself is expected to make its North American appearance later this week on November 6th. Big Order Anime Adaptation Announced

Today, according the tweet below, came the announcement that the manga Big Order is going to be adapted into an anime. The anime is expected to be released during the Spring 2016 anime season. Big Order is a manga that was released in September of 2011 and is still currently ongoing¹. The manga is written and illustrated by Esuno Sakae who is the mastermind behind Future Diary. Big Order is currently serialized in the Shounen Ace magazine. Himouto! Umaru-chan Gets a Spin-off Manga

According to the official twitter account of the author of the popular series Himouto! Umaru-chan (tweet shown below), the series will be receiving a spin-off manga. The spin-off manga will be centered around the flustered character Ebina. Ebina is the best friend and neighbor of Umaru-chan (for those who haven’t read or seen the series).
