Today, Turner announced on its official site and through the Adult Swim Facebook page that Adult Swim would be pairing with animation production studio Production I.G. to produce a sequel to a truly unique series that is loved by many, FLCL (Fooly Cooly). FLCL Acquired by Production IG Hints of Possible Reboot

According to an announcement made by Production IG, they have just acquired the rights for the popular anime FLCL (otherwise known as Fooly Cooly or フリクリ).  In the release, Production hinted at the possibility of a reboot of the popular 2000 anime.  FLCL, which was originally done by Gainax and directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki¹.  FLCL is currently available for streaming on FUNimation. Toonami Q&A Reveals Details on New Programming Schedule

Yesterday Toonami ran a Q&A on their tumblr, calling for questions from fans of the block. The Q&A reveals details on what you can expect from their new schedule. Schedule changes include the removal of Black Lagoon and Bleach which will be replaced by Dragon Ball Z Kai. Aside from removals you’ll see re-runs for Attack on Titan and Space Dandy with plans for IGPX and FLCL to return somewhere down the line.
