Live-Action Fullmetal Alchemist December 1st Date Revealed

Today, the official website for the upcoming live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movie has announced the release date. The film will hit Japanese theaters on December first of this year. Alongside the release day announcement, the website also featured a new visual featuring Alphonse Elric that you can see below: So far the quality of work done on Alphonse seems pretty solid. However, with the trailer that was released earlier this year (included below), we aren’t sure how this will actually turn out. With luck, it won’t be another live-action Attack on Titan.

Live-Action Fullmetal Alchemist Trailer Is Here!

Today came the release of our first look into the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist trailer. Now not to point out how terrible the live-action Attack on Titan movie was, I am going to be pretty skeptical about how this movie will turn out. That being said, you can decide for yourself after watching the trailer below: The teaser shows actor Ryōsuke Yamada dressed up as the famous main character Edward Elric and tells us to expect the film in the winter of 2017. So hype or not, expect to see more about this movie in the upcoming months. Below is the official announcement from the Fullmetal Alchemist twitter account.

A Sit Down Interview with Chris Patton

While at Colorado Anime Fest, we had an opportunity to sit down with Chris Patton and have a little chat. Chris Patton is the voice actor behind famous works such as: Greed in Fullmetal Alchemist, Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic!, Rentaro Satomi from Black Bullet, Run from Akame ga Kill!, and Hajime Aoyama from Ghost Stories. So, naturally we had to ask him a few questions with regards to what goes on behind the scenes during a voice actor recording session. Check out the video below for the interview: What did you think of the interview? Let us know in the comments below! Think we should ask other questions next time? Again, let us know and we...

Five Examples of Filler Done Right

Thanks to fan reception pushing the industry to create shorter, more coherent stories, filler is mostly a thing in the past. But it wasn’t always that way, and there are some cases where the filler was actually good. We’ve put together a list of our favorites, and some of them might surprise you. Naruto Shippuden – Kakashi’s Anbu Arc A lot of people don’t like the filler in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, and it’s actually for a good reason. With Kakashi’s Anbu Arc, however, Pierrot actually managed to create something interesting. It might have only served to buy some time, but it actually provides an excellent backstory on Kakashi and...

BentoByte Sunday Sounds Volume 19

BentoByte Sunday Sounds Volume 19 is here and around the world people are celebrating Mother’s Day. Well, here at BentoByte, we’re doing the same thing, just in our own way. Let’s get going with it! Blumenkranz Hiroyuki Sawano feat. Cyua If you’ve seen Kill la Kill, then you know exactly how wonderful parenthood is in that show. “Blumenkranz” is the theme song of Ragyo Kiryuin, the mother to both Ryuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuin as well as the main antagonist of the show. To be very blunt, she was a horrible mother and is often included in the trio of horrible parents (which include Shou Tucker from Fullmetal Alchemist and Gendo Ikari from Neon...

BentoByte Sunday Sounds: Volume 2

We’re back with another installment of Sunday Sounds. Just like last week, I’m coming at you with five of my choice picks of anime-themed music from my personal library, so let’s get this show on the road. BRE@TH//LESS Mika Kobayashi We’re starting off the volume with the last track from the Aldnoah.Zero OST. It’s the last track on the soundtrack and for a very good reason: it’s good. The song is sung entirely in English and, admittedly, I didn’t know that at first until I listened to the song about twenty times in a row. It’s used as an insert song for many of the fight scenes in the show and rightfully...
