Black Butler Film Teases New Images and Promo Video

The official site for the upcoming film for the Black Butler series, Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic, released a smorgasbord of new promotional content today. Included among the list is a new promotional trailer, additions to the cast, a new movie poster, and the plans for a special screening of the film on a cruise ship. That last one really sticks out but I’ll admit is pretty suitable for a series like Black Butler. Dragonball Evolution Writer Apologies to Fans

Dragonball Evolution isn’t exactly known as a masterpiece. It isn’t known as a flawed masterpiece. Since it’s release in 2009, pretty much everyone has agreed that Evolution is such a sack of shit that your childhood bully would have stolen it, looked inside the bag, then return it to you with a shed of a single tear and a somber pat on the the back. It’s one thing for fans of Dragonball and critics to agree a movie is garbage. It’s another thing entirely when the person who wrote the screenplay agrees with them. Derek Padula is what you might call a fan of the Dragonball series. He’s written numerous books about the series,...

The Last: Naruto the Movie Review

Before every Naruto fan on Earth jumps down my throat, I know this one’s a bit late. But honestly, watching this was worth the wait even if it wasn’t day one. Also, before I get this review underway, let me say that this movie takes place after the end of the Naruto Shippuden series. There are spoilers ahead if you haven’t finished the show. The Last: Naruto the Movie was worth the watch if you want the story of how NaruHina (Naruto and Hinata) became canon. Just throwing that out there right away. If you don’t care about how their relationship came to be, the movie will have less value to...

Attack on Titan to Receive Live-Action Series

Attack on Titan will never settle down, it seems. Between the live-action film, the alternate reality games, and the video games, Attack on Titan is proving to be more popular than ever. Now there is news that the series will be receiving a live-action series to tie-in with the films, which sounds pretty darn cool in this writer’s opinion. According to Anime News Network, the live-action series will tell a different story about the lives of the soldiers, which doesn’t sound very appealing, but let’s be honest — it’s Attack on Titan. This won’t be your typical drama, and I fully expect to see some titan action to support the...

All the Details on the Deadpool Movie

So, if you haven’t heard, the Deadpool movie has finally been confirmed and is now slated for a 2016 release. The movie has been what is essentially movie purgatory for years, so it’s amazing that we’ve finally got a date (at least a year) for the movie’s release. It is also being said that the movie is slated to be PG-13, which isn’t all to surprising. Teenagers being unable to see the movie wouldn’t exactly be good for box office. The aim is to make sure the movie captures Deadpool appropriately, and really the only thing it will be unable to do is grotesque violence. While seeing Deadpool get horrible mangled,...
