Map Packs Abound in This Trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s Season Pass

Season Passes are a thing that’s taken off lately, and while there may have been some less savory practices introduced the last generation, the Season Pass is a welcome addition for anyone’s wallet provided they plan on buying DLC anyway. Predictably, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be offering up a Season Pass and considering they’re offering four DLC packs, early access to weapons and even a bonus map on day 1 it’s a pretty great deal that will save you $10 in the long run. To give everyone a taste as to what they can expect for their hard-earned money, they’ve offered up this nice little trailer which shows off the...

Celebrate Halloween in Nosgoth With the Devil’s Night Event

Every October comes the Halloween events from your favorite games, and this year Nosgoth will be joining the ranks with their event titled Devil’s Night. The event will run for a week starting Monday, October 27 and you’ll be able to acquire new limited items for both Humans and Vampires. These items will have a ghostly effect applied to them, which sounds pretty neat if you ask me. You’ll also be able to acquire the slightly less interesting new player banners, which I assume will also be themed around the event. As for what new items we’ll see (there will apparently be 28 of them) and whether or not anything...

F.E.A.R. Online is Now on Steam

Last month the release date for the open beta of the latest game in the F.E.A.R series, free-to-play F.E.A.R. Online was revealed, and now the game has finally made its way to Steam. Unfortunately, according to Steam’s new user reviews feature which tells you what popular opinion on any given game is — it would seem that the game has received mostly negative reviews thus far.   The game is currently sitting at the somewhat discouraging 31% positive, which if you’re as bad as math as I am (hey, I’m a writer, not a mathematician) means that a whopping 69% are negative. It’s important to keep in mind though that...

Details on the First DLC Character for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Have Leaked, Her Name is Aurelia

The latest game in the Borderlands series, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel launched earlier this week and it seems that an intrepid modder by the name of TechnoJacker over at se7ensins has already managed to uncover the first and unannounced character DLC for the game. According to TechnoJacker who is responsible for the image above, the character data was buried within the latest beta update for the game, and can even be played with a little tinkering — though what exactly that entails is not yet known. It seems pretty obvious to me that this is an upcoming character we’ll be seeing at a later date, but as of right now remains unconfirmed....

10 Games Will be Free this Weekend on Steam

People with Steam accounts are in for a treat (not a trick, I swear. Halloween joke. Right.) as Steam has announced that this weekend ten titles will be available for free on the Steam store. The titles go up for grabs today (Thursday, October 16th) at 10:00 pm Pacific Time, in a free weekend that Valve is calling the service’s biggest free weekend yet. The price for the ten games listed combined would be around $240 USD, so that’s a pretty huge grab for anyone that doesn’t own any of the titles already. The games will be free to play all weekend, and will be heavily discounted as well. So...

Here are Some of the Weapons You’ll See in Far Cry 4

It looks like you’ll have quite a few weapons to play with in the newest game in the Far Cry series. With everything from knives to heavy artillery, this new trailer shows off an enthusiastic weapons dealer as he tries to sell you on his wares. Some of the highlights include a flamethrower, an automatic crossbow, a mortar and bait which gives you the ability to lure animals into maiming your opponents — but the real star of the show seems to be the charismatic arms dealer Longinus. Far Cry 4 will be available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC starting November 18th. Get ready...

Destiny is Getting A (Much Needed) Patch

The first two paragraphs are a personal rant. If you simply want the information on the patch, jump to the bold. If you play Destiny or follow any sites that talk about gaming, you’ve likely heard numerous things about the game. One of the most talked about features”of the game was the fabled “loot cave”; a place where players farmed low level enemies since they spawned at a high rate in that specific cave. Since the items dropped tend to reflect player level and not that of monsters, high leveled players used this area to try to advance themselves through the game. If you haven’t played the game, this may...
