Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 has a Trailer

So in case you haven’t heard of it, back in August an indie horror game titled Five Nights at Freddy’s was released to critical praise and gathered lots of attention on the internet. In Five Night’s at Freddy’s, you play as a night security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a Chuckie Cheese’s like restaurant with one of those terrifying animatronic animal bands. The catch is that these animatronic animals walk around the the restaurant at night, and if they see you, they will cram you into an animal suit and kill you in the process. The player watches the restaurant from the security room using cameras to check out the...

The Evil Within: First Impressions

A few points to start on: I like Survival Horror. Just getting that out there. If you hate the Survival Horror genre, The Evil Within isn’t for you. I played The Evil Within on Xbox One, so this will be about my experience with that console exclusively.  I’ll be talking about the first hour or two of the game, so minor spoilers ahead. Now that I’ve said all that, let’s dive in. I went into The Evil Within with very little knowledge of the game; I’d only seen a few trailers and a short gameplay demo. I knew that I was a detective named Sebastian Castellanos (Thanks to the box)...

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Pre-Order Available

So even though Resident Evil Revelations 2 was officially announced a little over a month ago, the game is already available to pre-order on the Playstation Network. By Resident Evil Revelations 2 being available, I of course mean that the full season of the game is available for pre-purchase, as the game will be released episodically. Individually, the four episodes are being priced at $5.99 USD each, with the season pass holding a price of $24.99 USD. However, those that pre-order the season pass will also be given access to the RAID Mode Throwback Stage Pack, which will add some classic stages to Resident Evil Revelations 2’s RAID mode. (I...

Be the Zombie in This Latest Trailer for Dying Light’s Multiplayer

In the multiplayer for Techland’s upcoming game Dying Light, you might have to deal with occasional invasions from the Night Hunter — but if you’re feeling particularly mischievous you can enter Be The Zombie mode and invade other players yourself, that is if you pre-order. Dying Light will be available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC starting January 27th in North America and following worldwide shortly thereafter.

Telltale’s Walking Dead Is Headed for PS4 and Xbox One This Month

Didn’t get enough of Telltale’s The Walking Dead? Me neither, it’s a great game. Starting this month you’ll be able to get your hands on the both seasons for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.  If you’re a console gamer and you missed out, you might want to look at picking these up. The second season will also be hitting Vita and all of these will be available at retail, including the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. With this announcement, Telltale Games also offers up a trailer of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions for your viewing pleasure. The first season will be available at retailers on October 14th...

Check Out 30 Minutes of Bloodborne Gameplay

While looking for some news regarding Bloodborne, I found that someone on Youtube decided to compile a bunch of Bloodborne footage from Tokyo Game Show into one big video. While it’s the same area that we’ve seen numerous times in other gameplay demos, the big change is that we get to see different kinds of builds and/or classes being used. There is a segment following the standard axe/razorblade sword and gun build that we’ve seen before, but the big difference is that there are two other builds in this video being shown off. One appears to be a dual wielding, fleet footed type, akin to that of a rogue/thief depending on...

New Limited Edition PS4 Features The Evil Within

Coming soon to Japan are two new limited edition PlayStation 4 models inspired by The Evil Within. The consoles will be available in Jet Black and Glacier White and are part of a collaboration with the Sony Store.   At the moment they seem to be exclusive to Japan, but perhaps we’ll see something similar down the line. A guy can hope, right? Although I have to admit I’m not a fan of limited edition consoles only utilizing the top half of the console for art. If you’re looking to pick one of these up, the pre-orders go live later this month. The Evil Within will release on Xbox 360,...

Diablo III and Reaper of Souls are 50% off, but Only for a Limited Time

If you haven’t gotten around to playing the third installment of Blizzard’s classic action RPG series, then maybe now is the time. Both the base game and its expansion Reaper of Souls are 50% off on PC, but only through October 6th. You better hurry! This sale being so close to Blizzcon makes me think Blizzard has plans to reveal something for the series this November.. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Binding of Isaac Sale/Giveaway

The Binding of Isaac is a game that’s gathered something of a cult following. It’s something like the original Legend of Zelda, scrolling through rectangular environments that link together to make dungeons that one hunts through to find power ups and bosses to move forward through the game. If that was a bit winded let me put it this way, it’s a 2D dungeon crawler with a surprising amount of depth. Your character can be modified in an impressive amount of ways. It’s also weird, creepy, sacrilegious, disturbing and quite fun. Seriously, this game is dark, but made in an adorable art style. I just want to warn you. Just...

Hellraid: The Escape Coming Soon To Android

If you’re anything like me you’ve been spent the past year eagerly anticipating the upcoming action RPG from the creators of Dead Island, Hellraid. That game won’t be out (or at least completed) until 2015, but if you’re an iOS user you might have already played another game set in the same universe called Hellraid: The Escape. Up until now the game has been exclusive to Apple’s devices leaving people like me who prefer Android out of the loop, but that’s going to change on October 2nd when Hellraid: The Escape hits Google Play. Along with this news comes a new launch trailer and fans of classic adventure games will be...

Survival Horror at Tokyo Game Show 2014

I’m a big fan of survival horror games, and so naturally I’ve been following TGS to see what’s in store. There’s a lot of content being shown there, but I’m just going to showcase highlights so far. First up to bat is The Evil Within, the new series by Resident Evil creater Shinji Mikami. The game is set to release next month (October 14 in NA and EU), so what we’re seeing is probably pretty close to the end product. At TGS, The Evil Within revealed a new trailer focused around what I assume to be the primary or one of the primary antagonists of the game. The character seems...

Sony Sending Out Bloodborne Alpha Test Invitations

Sony has begun to send out invitations for an Alpha test of Bloodborne on the PS4! Apparently, the developer wants to begin testing Bloodborne’s online gameplay and seeing how the community responds to the experience. The test is said to be small and no one is exactly sure of the qualifications for the test, though some have said that having a platinum trophy for any of the Souls games apparently gets you an invite. Which may be speculation, but if it isn’t I’m rather annoyed: I’ve got the Dark Soul achievement on my Xbox but APPARENTLY that doesn’t matter in this case. If you’re interested, click this link to go to...

Resident Evil REmake HD Remaster Gets a Trailer

A week or so back, Capcom announced that the remake to the original Resident Evil game for the Gamecube would be getting an HD remaster for last and current generation consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The game is set to release as a downloadable game in early 2015, and will run in 1080p on the Xbox One and PS4 (and probably for the PC as well). We now have a trailer for the release, which only gets me more excited. I guess that’s the point. Anyway, it’s a short trailer that introduces the game and promotes the updates being made to the game. If you’re a...
