Final Fantasy XV Release Window Narrowed Down

In an exclusive sit-down with Gamespot, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has confirmed that the title will see its release before 2017. The highly anticipated RPG will most likely land itself in Holiday 2016, which is right on schedule for Square-Enix. Hajime Tabata fell into this huge project after Tetsuya Nomura moved onto Kingdom Hearts and the newly announced Final Fantasy 7 remake. Since then, Tabata has faced the criticism of the hardcore fanbase surrounding the Final Fantasy series, particularly about the lacking updates coming out of Gamescom. “I understand why people are feeling that way after coming to Cologne and speaking to a lot of the media,” Tabata...

Projekt Red Details Upcoming Witcher 3 Patch

Every game benefits from the developers continually updating and fixing bugs. This week CD Projekt Red has posted to their forums the newest patch notes coming to the Witcher 3 for PC. Although this patch is not as large of an improvement as the 1.07 update. A patch that contained new killing blows, an inventory stash in several locations, improved UI, etc.  It will patch those new additions that arrived in 1.07 as well as various other fixes keeping the game enjoyable and making it more stable. It is set to arrive before the new game plus free DLC. PERFORMANCE: Overall improvements to performance, including some issues that may have...

Fallout 3 Stands the Test of Time

With Bethesda’s new installment in the Fallout series in the form of Fallout 4 on the way, I thought now would be a better time than any to start a small review series for Bethesda titles. I’d like to start with one of my top rated games of all time: Fallout 3. Maybe not the newest or most popular of opinions is that Fallout 3 is the title that deserves the most praise from the Fallout series. I’m part of the group that puts this third installment solidly over its successor. Fallout 3 is deserving of all the praise it has ever received, especially for the time that it was released....

Final Fantasy Type-0 Is Coming To PC

Great news everyone! Square Enix has yet to slow down with the massive amounts of Final Fantasy news over the last couple of months. Along with getting Final Fantasy IV: the After Years on Steam on the 12th of May, we just heard last week that the smartphone game Final Fantasy Agito is coming to Windows 10. And if that didn’t get you excited for what Square has in store for the PC, then you should know that the PC is also getting Final Fantasy Type-0 HD! I suppose because standard definition wouldn’t have cut it for this “fast-paced action RPG combat”. That’s right; Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming...

Lost Dimension Review

Imagine a world where every character you’ve become attached to can die. No, not Wolfsmund. (What, were you expecting a reference to Game of Thrones on an anime site?) The world I’m talking about today is that of the latest localization from Atlus, Lost Dimension. That’s what Lost Dimension is about, at least conceptually. You join a task force of teenagers armed with psychic powers to stop the looming threat of world destruction by a guy literally calling himself The End, and you all end up in his tower with amnesia. The best part? Someone is a traitor, but not just one person, oh no — that would be way too easy. Instead, you’ll have to...

Fallout Shelter for Android! Also more Fallout!

That’s right all you Android users! the Bethesda gods have seen fit to right their wrongs and bring the Fallout 4 teaser app Fallout Shelter to the Android market! Sadly Bethesda isn’t quite ready yet, the app will officially come out August 13th on the Android store; but hey better late than never, right? In other Fallout related news, Fallout 4 had a live demo played at QuakeCon and from what we can tell, it’s all Guns and Roses…or ya know Mini-nukes and Companions? The Behemoth mutants from Fallout 3 are back! as well as the Fat Man that we all relied on to kill these absolute tanks. Apparently there’s...

North America Release Date for Persona 5 Announced

With little to no presence of Atlus at E3 this year, I was left with the idea that we would have to wait for the latest iteration of Persona until some time in 2015. However, according to the official North American website for Persona 5, Altus USA will be bringing the newest entry in the Persona series stateside later this year. This was a nice little surprise for fans of Persona, as until this point we only knew that the Japanese release date for Persona 5 was slated for later 2015. For those of you unfamiliar with Persona or interested in learning more, here’s a trailer for Persona 5 that has some gameplay and...

Final Fantasy VII is Finally Getting a Remake

You read that headline, right? It’s official, Final Fantasy VII is getting a remake, and it’ll land on the PS4 first. Seriously! You might remember last year when Sony and Square Enix trolled us all by offering Final Fantasy VII on the PS4 as a port, but this is the real thing. I’ll say it again, Final Fantasy VII is getting a remake. You might have thought they were trolling with the last announcement, too, and maybe they were — but this is the real deal, and I couldn’t possibly be more excited. There’s no release date yet, but hopefully it’ll be soon. Now that we know it’s actually on...

Dark Souls 3 Confirmed for 2016 Release Date

There were a lot of rumors leading up to E3 claiming that Dark Souls 3 was in development, and it looks like they weren’t wrong, because today during Microsoft’s press conference Dark Souls 3 was officially confirmed and the game is on the way next year. Yep, Dark Souls 3 is on the way, and the best part? Hidetaka Miyazaki will be taking the reigns again, unlike the second game where he served as a supervisor. It will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC in “early 2016”, although the exact release date remains to be announced. As always, we’ll be sure to keep you updated. In the meantime you...

Everything We Know About Fallout From E3

Oh, man! The first day of E3 is over, and there have been some great things happening. First you have Nintendo with two announcements, and now you have Bethesda. There’s a lot to talk about, but this post is about Fallout 4, so let’s take a look at some of the information we saw tonight. Part of the Game is Set Before the War For the first time in the history of the franchise, Fallout 4 will let you play segments of the game set before the war. That includes purchasing your vault, which later turns out to be a lifesaver. There aren’t many details at the moment, but hopefully...

Nintendo Announces Earthbound Beginnings

After the Mother 3 tease Nintendo made leading up to E3 last year, a lot of people were upset to find out that Mother 3 was not part of their announcements at the event. It’s no secret that dedicated fans of the series have been asking Nintendo of America to release the game on the virtual console for years, along with the first Mother game, which was dubbed Earthbound Zero by fans. While Mother 3 has yet to be announced, we did get Earthbound (also known as Mother 2 in Japan) back in 2013. This year at E3, Nintendo had a Mother related announcement to make. It wasn’t Mother 3 but it’s just as...

Tales of Zestiria Confirmed for PS4 and PC

Earlier this week, someone at Bandai Namo Singapore accidentally updated the website for Tales of Zestiria with a listing for the game on PS4 and PC. The listings were eventually removed, but coupled with previous rumors, there was a lot of speculation as to whether or not that was a goof or if the game would actually see a release on the PS4 and PC. Well, today Bandai Namco have officially confirmed that yes, the game is getting a PS4 and PC release. Until today, Tales of Zestiria was only confirmed for the PS3. The game was previously released for the console in Japan earlier this year, which makes the PS4 and...

NIS America Details Main Cast for Disgaea 5

Disgaea 5 is on the way, thanks to NIS America, and now they’ve provided some details about the main cast you’ll be seeing in the game. There are profiles on six characters, some of which you might remember from from the opening, which was uploaded back in January. Take a look below to get the lowdown on the characters you’ll get to know when the game launches this Fall! Killia: A young demon who seeks revenge, and has a long history with Void Dark. He doesn’t like teaming up. He seems very cold, but his kindness shines through when he helps those who are suffering because of the Lost. His...

Windward Review

Earlier this year I started watching Black Sails, a show on Starz that tells the story of a young John Silver as he sails the seas with Captain Flint eventually leading up to the events in Treasure Island. The series has run for two seasons so far, and while it takes a few liberties with the source material, it’s actually a pretty good watch. So good, in fact, that it made me want to look into the history of pirates and check out some video games on the subject. At the time, Windward wasn’t around, but when I discovered the game on Steam I knew that it was something I’d be interested in...
