Slim Xbox One Unveiled

Those paying attention to E3 this year were given a preview to the newly announced Xbox One. Dubbed the Xbox One S, this new version is smaller and supposedly has a higher range for its controllers. Plastic Memories to Become a Visual Novel

Japanese game developer 5pb. has confirmed that it will be creating a visual novel adaptation to Plastic Memories! Naotaka Hayashi, writer of Steins;Gate (one of my absolute favorite series), is on board to aid in the production of the title. Serenity Forge Goes Publisher With New Title

Boulder Colorado based gaming company, Serenity Forge, announced today that they are launching a new branch of their company. This new branch will be dedicated to publishing indie games. To commemorate the occasion, Serenity Forge has announced their latest title Four Sided Fantasy. PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness Coming in September

According to publisher, NIS America, the recent game PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness is not only expected to arrive in September, but it also is coming on PS4, PS Vita, and Steam. The game is going to hit the shelves on September 13th, 2016. Along with a regular release of the game, a limited edition is also offered. IBM Japan Developing VR Sword Art Online RPG

Holy shit. Or should I say “it’s about time”? Either way, VRMMORPG that gives Sword Art Online its namesake is actually now in development! IBM Japan has undertaken the task of developing the namesake game from Reki Kawahara’s massively popular Sword Art Online. The project is currently going by the title Sword Art Online: The Beginning. Today, the official Nintendo UK YouTube channel began streaming a new trailer for Square Enix’s Bravely Second: End Layer, the upcoming sequel to the massively popular JRPG Bravely Default. This new trailer reveals new jobs (or classes for those of you who are uneducated) within the sequel, something that is of great importance to any fan of the series. Mighty No. 9 Delayed to Spring

Say it isn’t so! But it is. Today, Keiji Inafune announced on the Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter page that the spiritual successor to the beloved Megaman series has been delayed once again. The game has been pushed well beyond its’ original anticipated release in April of 2015. This means that the new expected release is about a full year past backers expectations, which many have made clear that they are not at all happy about. The root of the newest delay seems to be linked to the game’s multiplayer or network modes, with problems being specifically cited with matchmaking. Tales of Berseria International Release Confirmed

The official blog of the the long running Tales series has confirmed that the newest iteration in the series,  Tales of Berseria, will be heading overseas to North America and Europe. The title will be available on Playstation 4 and PC. The Playstation 3 version of the game will not be leaving Japan, so unfortunately you’re out of luck if you don’t have a gaming PC or haven’t upgraded to the newest Sony console. On the bright side, Tales of Berseria will have subtitles in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Russian. Details on a dub have yet to be revealed. Newest Sword Art Online Game is Headed Westward

In a press release and on twitter (shown at the bottom of the article) Bandai Namco made the announcement that the most recent SAO game, Sword Art Online -Hollow Realization-, will be coming to the west. The new game will be released on both the Playstation 4 and the PS Vita in 2016. Hideo Kojima Has Officially Started His Own Studio

Now after a flurry of internet rumors and supposed confirmations, Sony has released the following video today confirming that Hideo Kojima has left Konami and is headed in his own direction. For months now, there have been speculations as to the whereabouts of Hideo Kojima ever since his departure and/or absence from Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. We are happy to see that he has started to work as his own studio (albeit partnered with Sony), this means that Kojima is going to continue creating great games and work on his own terms. With luck, maybe a game similar to Silent Hills with Guillermo del Toro might actually come into fruition.

Today marked the final Nintendo Direct that would be entirely focused on Super Smash Bros. for the WiiU and Nintendo 3DS. New Assassination Classroom Game on the Way for 3DS in March

Namco Bandai announced the release date for the latest Assassination Classroom video game today, and the game will be out in March, if you live in Japan. The game, titled Ansatsu Kyoshitsu: Assassin Ikusei Keikaku!! (Assassination Classroom: Assassin Raising Project!!) will task the player with taking on the role of a student of 3-E class, where you’ll have to take on the daily school life at Kunugigaoka Junior High. That will include taking tests, in addition to trying to assassination Koro-sensei while training with Nagisa, going on missions with Karma, and mingling with the rest of the class.
