To celebrate the upcoming launch of the newest game in the Asssassin’s Creed series, Unity, Ubisoft has created an interactive map of Paris which includes a street level view not unlike Google’s Street View feature in maps. According to Ubisoft, the interactive map will give you a look into 18th century France during the French Revolution as you’re guided by a revolutionary voiced by Andy Serkis who some of you may recognize as Gollum from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Along the way you’ll visit sites from the French Revolution and unlock hidden media including contests, prizes, exclusive bonus content and art or videos from Assassin’s Creed Unity. I’ve spent a little time with it and it seems like a neat way to learn about your French history. If you want to check it out for yourself, you can do it here. Assassin’s Creed Unity is currently scheduled for release this November.
