So even though Resident Evil Revelations 2 was officially announced a little over a month ago, the game is already available to pre-order on the Playstation Network. By Resident Evil Revelations 2 being available, I of course mean that the full season of the game is available for pre-purchase, as the game will be released episodically. Individually, the four episodes are being priced at $5.99 USD each, with the season pass holding a price of $24.99 USD. However, those that pre-order the season pass will also be given access to the RAID Mode Throwback Stage Pack, which will add some classic stages to Resident Evil Revelations 2’s RAID mode. (I want Raccoon City, and I’m willing to be it’ll be in that pack.) This offer is only available for PS4 at the moment, but I’m willing to be that it will be extended to other platforms soon enough.

I’m stoked for the game because it’s the first time since Resident Evil Code: Veronica (Not including Darkside Chronicles) that we’ll be playing as Claire Redfield, and since the first game I really got into was Resident Evil 2, I’ve always really liked Claire. I’m also excited for her partner, Moira Burton, as it’s the first time since the first game that we’ve seen a Burton involved, and Barry was a badass. Resident Evil Revelations 2 takes place between RE5 and RE6, with Claire and Moira being trapped on a prison island. (Claire’s second time being in this situation. Rough.)

Claire is looking pretty pissed now.

The four episodes are slated to be released on a weekly basis with the first episode set to release on February 17, 2015, however Capcom has stated that this date is “merely a placeholder” but to expect the game in early 2015.
