If you’ve upgraded to the Xbox One, you might have noticed the disturbing lack of a Crunchyroll app, but that won’t be a problem anymore because Crunchyroll now has an app for the Xbox One. Yes, now you can officially put your Xbox 360 to rest and stream anime to your couch with your Xbox One.

Oh, and there’s one other thing — unlike other platforms, even free users can download the app and watch to their hearts content. The free streaming will still serve up ads, but as usual those with subscriptions can enjoy an ad-free experience. In other news, Crunchyroll is changing the availability for some of their titles. Now shows that are exclusive to Crunchyroll will only be available free for one year. After that you’ll need a subscription. One year is still a long time, though.

Will you be using the app? In case you don’t already have one, you can get a Crunchyroll Premium Membership here!

Update: Crunchyroll has announced via twitter that the app will be available to free users on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 as well.
