So it looks like 2015 is going to be a good year for fans of From Software’s Souls series. With Bloodborne currently slated for a March 2015 release (after being pushed back from February), From Software has now announced that Dark Souls 2 will be coming to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on April 7, 2015. The updated game is titled Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin and is coming with a bunch of added content, including the DLC trilogy of Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King and Crown of the Ivory King.
Along with the DLCs, Scholar of the First Sin is also coming with a graphical enhancement, improved gameplay features, an expanded story, new in-game events and a new NPC character. It’s also been shown that the online capabilities of the game are being expanded, with up to 6 players being able to be in the same game. And for those that already have Dark Souls 2 that want the content, but don’t want to buy the game again, fear not. From Software has stated that the additions and fixes to Dark Souls 2‘s story, gameplay and online features will be coming to the original platforms as well (excluding the 6-player matches, that’s PS4, Xbox One and PC only.)
I don’t know about you, but I’m excited. I still play Dark Souls 2 a fair amount, so knowing that new content coming is fantastic. Not to mention, we’ll be getting Bloodborne about a month before. What about you? Excited? Likes Dark Souls? Hate it? Let us know what you think in the comments.Tweet
