Good news for everyone without a Home, the Atom Universe demo for the PS4 is finally confirmed for April 8 in Europe. The American release date has yet to be announced, but will likely follow soon enough.

In case you’ve been out of the loop, Atom Universe is a virtual world helmed by Atom Republic, who you may know as a developer on the recently deceased PlayStation Home. It’s currently in the process of being funded through kickstarter and is just about 70% of the way there with 13 days left to go.

We interviewed Tanguy Dewavrin, CEO of Atom Republic, last month to ask some questions about what the future holds for Atom Universe and what will happen if the kickstarter is unsuccessful. It’s well worth the read if you’re interested in Atom Universe or PlayStation Home in general.

For those of you that can’t wait until a North American release, if you’ve backed the project and have an EU account you can check out the PS4 demo ahead of the release. For everyone else, the PC version is available for download right now. If you like what you see, be sure to back the project. Even the lowest tier will help.
