It’s been a rough week for PlayStation Home users after having to say goodbye to the service that they’ve known and loved for over six years. A lot of people have been asking the question as to where they’ll go next, and for a while the future remained uncertain. But now, just a couple weeks short of the full month allotted for the kickstarter campaign, Atom Republic has reached the goal for their Atom Universe project.

That’s right, Home fans, the future is looking brighter, and it’s all thanks to you. Atom Universe will become a reality, and you’ll have a new place to call home. The project was successfully funded earlier this week, and with 11 days to go, Atom Republic have set their sights on stretch goals. So what’s next? Well, £30,000, of course.

Atom Universe is already on the way for PC, but if they hit their next goal of £30,000, Atom Universe will also get a release on the PS4 at the same time. That’s pretty big! The demo will already be available for the PS4 later this week if you’re in Europe, and now if they hit their first stretch goal it won’t be much longer before the service goes into beta on the console.

As of right now, they’re almost 1/10 of the way there with £20,855 of £30,000 with nine days to go. If you want to see Atom Universe released on the PS4 later this year, it’s up to you to back the project. Better get backing! In the meantime, you can play the latest version of the demo on the PC right now which you can download from their website.
