According to Amazon Japan, the newest volume of the Shokugeki no Soma manga will be accompanied with an anime DVD. This will be the 19th volume in the Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma series and will be released on the 4th of July. As of right now, there has been no indication as to what episode of the anime will be on the DVD. This latest release will run around ¥ 3,240 (which is around $28.30 give or take). The last manga chapter (volume 18) will also be accompanied by an anime DVD as well.

Shokugeki no Soma is written by Yuto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki. For those who haven’t seen and/or read the series we have included a description below:

The series, both the manga and anime, revolve around Yukihira Soma. Soma is a student who works at his father’s restaurant and works hard to beat his father (Joichiro) in the kitchen. Suddenly, his father decides to shut down the restaurant and make Soma go to culinary school to make him a better cook. What Soma doesn’t know is that Joichiro has enrolled him into a highly competitive elite cooking school with a dismally low graduation rate. The story follows Soma’s experience and battles at school.
